There are two main types of traditional handmade necklaces, the first is a single link chain. Our talented artisan uses one of the region's oldest handcraft techniques to create beautiful individual link necklaces. The process can take hours to produce just one inch of jewelry. The second is snake weaving, just as it sounds our smith pulls sterling silver through holes in a sturdy jewellers board. This results in long spaghetti-like strands that are weaved together. Some of the strands are oxidized for color and polished for variation. The snake weave is normally used for men’s necklaces and bracelets.
